Refreshing atmosphere, cherishing people and rich with simplicity : Our Machhapuchhre Homestay seems like an example of real heaven on earth.

Farmers of Tusse Village are running homestay in order to link agriculture with tourism. 81 farmer members involved through Barah Cooperatives are now involved in various livelihood enterprises set up with the revolving fund support. Farmers and families came up with this holistic integrated model and 24 member opened homestay, 2 member opened restaurants to provide food and other started agriculture farming business such as organic vegetable farming, Kitchen gardening, bee keeping, goat rearing and poultry.

This model of homestay serves typical, authentic and organic products for tourists.

A place with an astonishing view of beautiful fields where farmers are now able to get best out from their own kitchen garden. With the technical and financial assistance from Caritas Nepal, farmers are joyful after realizing improved productivity in an organic way. Farmers showed tremendous gratitude for guiding them towards sustainable livelihood.

After the presence of Caritas in our village, we started getting loans easily to initiate any sort of income generating activities. I started goat farming. Farmers like us are benefited a lot.

Many guests have visited here and we always serve them our best. Guests are also happy. With the earnings from homestay, I am now able to fulfill many things such as addressing household needs and educating children.
